The City of New Bloomfield operates and maintains its own water and sewer department within the city limits. New water and sewer accounts can be set up in person at City Hall . Trash service is also included in the water and sewer bill for City residents only, businesses must contract trash service with Republic Services for themselves.
New customers must pay a $10.00 account setup fee when establishing services for water, sewer, and trash and complete the new service application, along with a deposit of $150.00.

Water System
The City's Water and Sewer Department operates and maintains the water supply, including wells, transmission lines, distribution systems, along with 24/7 emergency response and repair, meter reading, billing, water sampling and testing, line locations as well as performing predictive and preventive maintenance. The City has duly licensed, State-certified operators who are responsible for system operations and maintenance.

Sewer System
Also operated by the Water and Sewer Department, the sewer system includes a collection system and wastewater treatment plant. The City of New Bloomfield provides for the full service operations and maintenance of the wastewater collection, pumping and treatment systems, including customer service and billing, with duly State licensed operating personnel.
