New Bloomfield School was started in 1903. The school is one of the finest in the state offering small classroom sizes and personalized teaching for Pre-School through 12th grade. New Bloomfield is a great place to raise a family while enjoying easy access to larger urban areas.
In 1996, a new high school was built to the northwest of the other building and in 1997 six classrooms were added to the high school. In 1999-2000, a state of the art softball field was built to the northeast of the high school.
In April 2001, a 32,000 square foot addition on the high school was constructed to house both high school and junior high. In addition, air-conditioning was added to the elementary building and the elementary roof was replaced.
In April 2004, the district was able to complete the roof replacement at the elementary, provide a hard surfaced road to the high school, and install a camera security system in both buildings. In April 2006, the district purchased land for future campus expansion and future plans include improving ADA access and remodeling facilities to provide more classroom space at the elementary.
New Bloomfield School District
New Bloomfield R-III is very fortunate to have an active organization in town whose mission is to enhance and enrich the educational opportunities provided by the New Bloomfield School District by securing and distributing resources to be used so that all students in the district may reach their maximum potential in all areas of learning.
While they exist to support the New Bloomfield Public Schools, they are a separate organization with their own governing board. You can learn more about the New Bloomfield Education Foundation at their website.
